  1. rob, I’m sure at this time of the afternoon you’ve decided to wake the rest of us up by making absurd statements. but to quote dave from this morning, please STFU! YOU may have had a horrible time in Harlem, YOU may not like Nora Jones, or kids, or all of the things you’ve ranted about today, but that does not mean that your opinion is the only one that counts. It drives me crazy when anyone categorically says that an entire city, neighborhood, group of people, whatever IS (fill in the usually negative blank). It’s absurd. Take a time out, go smoke a cancer stick outside and come back with a better attitude. You are really not a very nice, witty, or pleasant today, and speaking for a lot of us, step away from the keyboard and give it a rest. Thank you.

  2. gov island:
there was a story in the times or new yorker recently about one of the inhabitants of the island and she spoke of tennis and gin every afternoon in spring summer and fall.

  3. Apparently quick a few problems during the Olympics. Vancouver transportation can’t handle all of the traffic and had to call 100 extra buses because they were afraid the one they have running will break down. One of the poles during the opening ceremony of torch lightning didn’t go up. Zamboni problem. etc. etc.

Poor Canadians can’t get it together :o)
