noki,
on American Idol, they only show you the highlights or lowlights. Make no mistake about it, there is a vast pool of talentless American singers out there, including myself.
…and admit it, you just like to disagree with me as a matter of course by now. 😉
Jester, I read a lot. I think reading helps you get better at……reading. Writing is what helps one get better at writing. That’s partially why I am here trying to blaber away since goat ate all my paper and I have nothing to write on but this damn blog.
They want to be able to express their opinions more compellingly & it’s very frustrating for them not to be able to do so.

I once read a fascinating article about how the word “like” developed as a placeholder for just those type of students, stuck between the thoughts in their heads and the words they know. The only answer – vocabulary and some wide reading (Shakespeare supposedly uses half the English language in his writings).
I loved shop class. I made a box with a lid that has my old coins in it and a wooden toy car. In high school I also took a metal jewlry making class. I made a few things in silver.

It’s easier for me to be a mean bitch in print than in person.

You do enough damage on here that you don’t need to say much in person :o). (KIDDING!)
