I say this as a relatively old man, myself, dh, but the criteria are whatever is happening in today’s music as decided by people too old to know.
BTW, this certainly goes for the jazz category, too, not that anyone besides me and legion care. No one who’s been relevant in the past 30 years won anything. Chick Corea?

I thought the Michael Jackson tribute was showstoppingly good. Odd choice for Celine and Carrie, but whatevs. I kept thinking to myself as I read and sipped tea, “Wow, the Grammys are entertaining me.”

That was horrendous. It was like Taylor Swift [who I like, btw] couldn’t hear Stevie or was singing out of key, or was singing over here? It was awful, just ruined seeing Stevie for me.
The MJ Tribute song itself wasn’t bad. Celine Dion annoys me no end, her dress was way too short for a woman her age. And the video was just plain not good.
