biff — Fort Greene around S. Portland/Oxford park blocks is great for that, too. Very elaborate parlor moldings. Right after dark, the parlors are lit up like jewel boxes.
slopefarm, I love walking around the neighbourhood at night. It’s so much easier that way to peep into homes and see some of the gorgeous decorations and details. Favourite streets of mine to do that are Remsen, Garden Place, Columbia Heights, Willow and Hicks.
