  1. PLLUS all lady business suits are designed in such a way that make it look like youre just trying waaaaaaaay too hard. but im also a firm believer that dress codes violate civil liberties.

    *rob*

  2. “It seems EVERY woman on the East Coast (and maybe half the men) believe that men should pay for a woman at dinner. I think it is DISGUSTING. But apparently the masses disagree with me.”

I was always under the- you asked me out then you pay. If there’s a next time though I’m definitely picking up the tab. I always went back and forth on who gets to pay. I didn’t keep track per se but tried to make it somewhat equitable.

  3. bostonian, waspish, the same thing, right?

Anyway I recall a coupla or three years ago I was looking for a Christmas something for Mrs. D and I saw a really nice looking jacket thing in BB, I think it was around $600, pretty steep. So I hemmed (no sewing) and hawed and I finally decided I would buy it if it was made in the US or Europe. Made in effin China! That was it, kept rolling up Madison.

  4. BB is great for men. I prefer a little more edge in my suits than they offer. Besides, classic womens suits like those are becoming extinct in most industries. Women are allowed to get away with a much more fashionable edge these days.

  5. Cobble, you’re asking the wrong person. I HATE to shop and haven’t shopped for clothes in so long, let’s say years. That’s why I dress the way I do.

But in my walks I did notice that lots of stores are having major sales.

I guess you didn’t find anything in the closet.

  6. cobble- you could donate them to that organization that helps young, disadvantaged women get good business clothes for interviews and jobs. Can’t recall their name but I can look it up for you if you want.
