  1. Hey folks;

    I’m running around today, so not much time for posting. Just want to say that it was great to see everyone last night, if only briefly. I wish I could come sooner to these meet-ups, but Thursday nights are bad for me.

    In other news…

    My dog has one of those “radar dishes” on, to prevent him from licking an infection on his foot. Is there any sight funnier in the world than a dog with one of these radar dishes around his head? Every time I look at him I start laughing.

    See you next week.

  2. *rob*, I was actually 13 when I was first allowed to take the train from CT to NYC, with a friend but without an adult, armed with my mother’s credit card no less, which stores let me use based on nothing more than a note from her, and allowed to stay overnight at an apartment my father had at the time. In retrospect, my mother had no idea what she was thinking. This would’ve been around 1977.

  3. cgar, i was about 11 when i first started coming to nyc. except i didnt really enter the city. i used to go to bergenline avenue in jersey and take the bus to the port authority. i’d hang around in the port authority for a few hours and then just take the bus back home hahahha. it’s probably a good thing i didnt leave the port authority and venture out onto the street. i think at the time i thought i was just going to the mall. but that mall just happened to be port authority
