Arcady, Carbonite. It’s great. It backs up not only the obvious files, but also your favorites and bookmarks, and anything else you want to keep. The program puts a little green dot next to the desktop and file folder icons when that file is backed up. If it’s new and hasn’t been backed up (which goes on in the background while your computer is in use, and you’re connected to the internet) the dot is yellow. It backs up pretty quickly, too.
montrose, is the $55 a 1-time or annual fee for the back-up?
I know what you mean. F’ing Acer probably used the recovery disc on my hard-drive too when I specifically told them it’s the f’ing mother-board so please check & replace the motherboard before you go wipe out my hard drive for no reason. a good chunk of the software was stuff I installed directly via the internet so re-installing some of the programs were a bitch. Had to ask my buddies for their dvd’s. am still missing some software – luckily I dont miss those that much else I would be in steaming still
We need passengers like those in Glasgow Airport when the guys drove the burning car through the front windows a couple of years back.
Couple of Glaswegians that had been in the check in line dragged the terrorist out of the car while he was still on fire and started beating the crap out of him.
I don’t remember that, CarGar, but my heart sank when I saw today’s little joke. “How could I have so misjudged the man?” I asked myself. “I’d thought he was a reasonable human being.”
Arkady, I think we’ve been down this same road once before, the last time I posted that Obama wasn’t born in the USA. Next time, I’ll be sure to [wink].
Love your understated wit, etson.

The far left just lacks humor, CGar.

MM – What on-line backup do you use?
“Whew! CarGar. I thought you were serious too.”

It was much appreciated, Biff.
