MM, I’m not sure if your 1:51 post is meant for me. If so, I would never suggest you don’t call *rob* on his posts, but people telling him to shut up is another matter.
And I also think there’s a great deal of disagreement about what constitutes an “inappropriate post”. I got at least a dozen emails yesterday from people trying to figure out what *rob* said about Haiti that was so terrible. People were left guessing what was so terrible about the voodoo remark and the 24/7 media coverage remark, and yet his comment that the whole situation in Haiti was really terrible was conveniently overlooked.
I don’t think everything *rob* says is hunky dory. When he says something truly inappropriate, I call him on it, or I simply ignore him. But I also enjoy when his posts are funny (often irreverent, but funny) and insightful.
The bigger problem that people like Snappy and I have is that it seems like some people think every single word *rob* posts is inappropriate and are just lying in wait to pounce on him. Biff is right that *rob* doesn’t need me to defend him. But he’s my friend, and I like him, and he makes me laugh, and I don’t like to see him relentlessly attacked, any more than I like to see anyone else here attacked.
I’m not interested in posting on a homogenous blog that practices “group think”. Benson quit the OT. Others are also gone. *rob* appears to be the next target. After that, who? Me? Snappy?
Oy, there is a counter at the top of the page, peoples! We just see say 508 and count posts back!
What did everyone have for lunch? I haven’t eaten yet. Suggestions.
Altho, a hot dog sounds good.
MM- up at the top bstoner keeps a count. That’s how snappy always sneaks in and grabs the honors! And biff too. They lie in wait and anticipate.
won’t go over 5MG per month again. We are all allowed only one mitzvah from Verizon per lifetime.

Aaaarrrgh, HOTD and COTD are both nothing to drool over. I’ll guess I’ll do some work.
