Actually, *rob*, I don’t think keeping the drama light and being disturbed by the situation in Haiti are mutually exclusive. I contributed to Haitian disaster relief, and I’m following the news, but I also wish the media didn’t suddenly shift into 24/7 Haiti coverage, to the exclusion of all else, as the media predictably does with every new story. Tiger Woods is out. Harry Reid is in. Harry Reid is out. Haiti is in. There is NO other news in the meantime. What will tomorrow’s story du jour be?
Gem, very sorry to hear about your sister-in-law’s aunt.
“anyone been to Getty center in LA? Is it worth checking out? Any other ideas for occupying Saturday afternoon and early evening in LA?”

Kens,
I remember a great bar on Santa Monica Blvd. Can’t remember the name, but its across from a car wash. There’s good beer there and I met one of the regulars, a guy named Mac or Buddy….They used to allow smoking, but not sure now. Tuesday mornings are best 😉
it is Cgar. that specific ouija board was given to me from a literal crazy woman on a subway platform when i first moved to nyc!!! i partially blame her (and myself for accepting it) for all my subsequent woes lol. i think i did the thing you arent supposed to do tho and threw it away.
Extext. I’m not classically trained, but a darn good cook. I’ve impressed myself at times. What’s your question?

What are you cooking, ET? I hope it’s not some ethnic crappola.
Where are the chefs? I need cooking advice.
I guess I’ll wait till THL and Cobble show up and then post.
