Slopefarm, I had that very same thought about a week ago. I was wondering how any of us would ever know if one of us died. We’d most likely think that person just decided to never come back to B’Stoner for any given reason, but would we ever wonder if death were the reason? (glad I’m not the only one having such morbid thoughts!)
I was at a funeral earlier today, and between that and CGar’s reflection on deaths in his family, it got me thinking. A lot of us now have a real sense of community and friendship, even when we argue. We socialize, email each other, and sometimes even deal with more serious issues. So what happens when one of us dies? Do we go to each other’s funerals? How do we even find out when one of us dies if our significant others don’t know who we all are or how to contact us?
Anyway, no need to answer and we call all go back to the insults, sex jokes and cat discussions, but something to think about, perhaps.
And I’ll further admit that all of this is quite easy for me to say. Perhaps if I had family in another country that experienced devastation, I’d be singing a different tune. But, my situation is what it is and this is the song I’m singing for now.

OK, serious question.
