Montrose, I’m in a similar pickle, would like to get a PhD, can’t afford it. Friend of mine has masters in historic preservation from Columbia. All it got her was a job as glorified office manager at nonprofit in the field. I don’t know the pay, but it might have been pretty low ($40,000?).
