  1. G10, let’s not try to use reason when it comes to matters of national security!

    Ok, new topic:

Today is National Clean Your Desk Day.

What is this? Is it something started by the marketing department at Clorox?

  2. “Who the hell are we to tell her that she should get out because we, the priveleged and successful few, have deemed that she has too much space?”

The people that own her apartment, albeit indirectly.
Also, we are not the “few”. Most people live in private housing.

  3. I think the issue for me with this woman living in a 3BR project apartment is that there are countless families waiting for apartments that size who actually NEED it. This woman does not NEED a 3BR apartment just like I don’t NEED a 3 BR apartment(yet). If she went out and got a rental or bought outside of the system, sure she can buy/rent whatever she damn well pleases.

  4. Well, when there are massively backlogged waiting lists of people, of whom, I’m going to venture to say a great majority that are in desperate need of assistance and people who languish in the projects even after they’ve become quite financially stable simply because no one is checking up on such things something needs to be done.

There SHOULD be turnover in the projects. They should NOT be looked at as permanent residences. They are semi-temporary solutions for those in need. Once the need is gone they should be asked to move on so others can benefit.

The system needs to be overhauled so that more people can benefit. People tend to scam the housing system simply because it’s very simple to do so.
