Rob – Who was it? C. Hunter-Gault?
In D.C. where I grew up there were still separate water fountains! but soda fountains were integrated as were buses & street cars – no back of the bus, anyway, in the mid-40s.
BTW, whether you go to Yale or state school is irrelevant? Please. Don’t go to Yale if you can’t afford it? Double please. Any good capitalist knows you have to use other people’s money to make money, otherwise you’ll be stuck in the same economic cycle forever.
“I did TS in the mid-70s. It was fun – snow started falling just as the ball dropped – very romantic. Disaster ensued. Accepted a proposal, married that August, divorced by following New Year.”
snappy!!! that is what happens when you dont get your nic fit!!! you start craving bad food, or any food. it’s the reason i refuse to quit. im already too fat, if i quit id just get fatter. and i KNOW it’s better to be fat than dead, but when youre gay that meme doesnt apply sadly!
snappy visualize a newport. then visualize a big mac. what looks sexier going in your mouth?

i was watching the news this morning and they had on the woman that was that little girl who was the first black person to enter a segregated school. i was shocked how young she is right now, not even THAT older than many of us and just how relatively recent forced segregation was! sorry totally random thing that popped in my head, but it was just something that i never really thought about before until i saw that. the school where she first went to when there were people out there protesting her attending was one of the schools that was destroyed in hurricane katrina as well. which according to the news special was landmarked but is still in the same condition as it was after katrina. point being i guess is that if i hadnt seen that, i would have always just assumed that girl would be like in her 100s by now! but she’s not, she looks like she’s only in her 50s or 60s! that must have been a really strange time to have grown up in.
