The lid really makes it worse? Wow. I actually keep the lid on because he likes to shovel all the litter out of the box onto the floor (why I bought him a new pan with a lid). I’ve done the baking soda thing to no avail. I have the astroturf type track pad, but it didn’t seem to work so well with clumping litters. I’m gonna take the box out of the bathroom because I suspect that the small space is really concentrating the smell and making it worse.
Biff, walk over to Barnes & Noble. Pick up the new coffee table book “The New York Times: The Complete Front Pages: 1851-2008”. And go to the date you want.
Snappy – I think World’s Best works better & doesn’t generate much dust until sometimes the very bottom of the bag. Hari’s pee will be less odorous after he’s fixed. See if you can find a piece of astro-turf to go around the box – that cleans tracking better than anything else I’ve seen. You can try sprinkling the bottom of the litter pan w/ baking soda before you pour the litter in. Also, if it’s a covered pan, take the lid off – it makes it worse, not better.
Arkady, I tried the NY Times website, but couldn’t find where to do it. Does one have to be a subscriber? I only get the NY Times on the weekend so I’m not sure I have the same access on the website as you.
lol, I knew you night owls would get busy with the bubbly!
I saw the advertisements on the buses this weekend,
looks like I’m gonna be famous. 😉
THL,
I always loved that building too, I’m so glad they’re maintaining it as a centerpiece for the larger terminal, I saw it from the AirTrain this past September and it’s looking great, they must have re-surfaced the entire structure.
Oh, yeah, I’m gonna run out and get a cat now!! ^^^^

Biff – Now I can’t find it either. CG has a good idea & I think you can “see inside” on Amazon.

Here’s the Amazon link to the book:

I believe it also comes with a searchable DVD of all the papers.
