We’ve only got one more post scheduled for today and then we’re going to take a much-needed break from blogging for the week. But, have no fear, the lights will stay on around here: Montrose Morris is going to take over next week as guest blogger in residence. There won’t be quite as much content as usual but there will be plenty to keep everyone busy. Have a great Christmas and New Year!

  1. Jessi, I never made it…waited 40 minutes for the bus and it never came. I got super cold and gave up and came back in the house 🙁 I was tempted to try to go today, but a toy store on X-Mas eve could require more Ativan than I’ve got in my stash!

  2. I have the cheese names written down at home. They were so good that I had to retrieve the wrappers from the trash. There was one incredibly stinky soft french cheese that was out of this world.

The BB recipe is my own but essentially the same as Julia’s. I don’t know where it originally came from.

  3. oooooh i got two lovely offers from too lovely ladies to be my personal shopper. snappy and jessi, let’s just make it a threesome this weekend! shots first of course. can i bring a cane and dark glasses and we can pretend im blind? it would make more sense having the two of you picking out clothes for me.

    *rob*

  4. i made a beef bougognone and we had a very nice red from Uruguay and some incredible cheeses from Eli’s

Dave, did you make Julia Child’s Beef Bourguignon?? I love that recipe! I love the reds from Latin American, especially from Chile, and Argentina sometimes. Rothschild has a vineyard in chile that produces a red meritage at a great value.

hmm, what kind of cheeses did u get from Eli’s?
