Thieves with screwdrivers broke into a Midwood home, locked two children and a housekeeper in the bathroom, and stole the family’s 2010 Ferrari, according to police. The perps broke into the house — which is near East Seventh Street and Quentin Road — through a side door yesterday at around 7 pm and encountered a 12-year-old girl doing homework in the basement. “My sister thought they were firemen, and she led them to me,” 17-year-old victim Isaac Douek told the Daily News.
The crooks then forced the children and the maid into a bathroom while they looted the residence (the parents weren’t home at the time). The Post reports that the thieves only stole the car, but Douek — whose father owns the Manhattan camera shop Willoughby’s — told the tabloid: “They ransacked the house. They took everything. We can’t even keep track of what they got away with.”
On their way out, they grabbed the keys to the family’s black Ferrari, which was parked in the driveway (it’s unclear if they noticed the family’s Maserati, which was parked across the street from the home and partly hidden by the snow). As the thieves drove off in the sports car, one of the victims managed to call police — who spotted the car but lost it. The crooks escaped, but they ditched the Ferrari, which is valued at $200,000, four miles away at McDonald Avenue and 20th Street, according to the Post.
Pete, I put it in my cereal – never too old for that. And milk is one of those things that I do think is important – you’ve seen me in action, I don’t need any more hormones.

Jessibaby, I think i need to cut down on non-organic milk too!
If someone broke into my house, they’d wait around till I got home to kick my ass…that’s just how little there is in here worth stealing.
I always thought that a stick shift was a deterrent – guess not.
“There. That’ll get you posting!”
Don’t you start with me, DIBS! : P
“Cobble, let ‘er rip!”
Oh, no, no, no, Snappy, you do not want to hear what is going on in my head this morning!!
Slopey, you certainly did shock us, but more than that….you amused us!! Keep up the good work! ; )
No, dibs, not a party line. We had 5 digits by the time I was in kindergarten.
I will eventually get a PA license though. I wanna be able to drive upstate on a lazy summer/fall afternoon and enjoy the scenery. I miss those rides.
