My contribution to the *Rob* like rant department-
So anyone remember the story about my neighbors dog that had the fleas, ran into my house after escaping theirs, then I got accused that my house gave him the fleas? Yeah? Well then enjoy this story, I’m calling it:
“Holiday Chutzpah”
Well, they went away for the holidays this year and the M.I.L. kinda dropped a hint that they were going to ask if I wouldn’t mind watching the dog while they were away for TWO WEEKS!!
Since this wasn’t them formally asking but rather, having the M.I.L. feeling me out, I gave a very blunt answer. ME? Take care of a dog? Oh hell no, I can barely take care of myself these days. I can’t be over there getting dog hair all over me and coming back to my cat house. I’d get clawed to death in my sleep. Besides, the thought of getting up at the crack of dawn to take him on walks and then picking up his steamers just isn’t appealing. I suggest she find a dog person to do it.
Well, they never did formerly ask me. I can’t imagine why. We also got a call from them last night stating that they were having one of the husband’s employees stay at the house for the 2 weeks to take care of the dog. They just wanted us to know so we didn’t think he was an intruder.
Meanwhile, I’m taking care of our neighbors cats through New Years. That I have no problem with.
I guess the moral of the story is, if you let your flea ridden dog run into my home and then try to say that he got them from my house don’t expect any favors in return.
Jessi, I didn’t realize it would have to start off as a baby. I was thinking more along the lines of something more sci-fi instant Jessi at your current age.
