  1. THL!!!! i had to go to sunday school too for a few years! it was HORRIBLE. i dont know why my grandparents who were non religious total sinners themselves would send me to sunday school (maybe they thought it would cure my gay tho who knows) but it sucked. i wound up just not showing up for months and months and would spend the money for the scrub basket on candy. the only thing they taught in like 1st and 2nd and i think i quit in 3rd? maybe 2nd.. after my communion i know that was teaching people about not quarreling. who the hell says quarrelling?

  3. Snappy, that’s horrifying!

Growing up my dad was Church of Armenia (orthodox christian) and my mom Church of England (Yeah, whatever Christian).

Well you know how kids are. Everyone used to ask what religion are you? I had no clue. So I always used to ask my mom and dad what religion we were and she’d say Christian. I’d say what kind, She’d say generic. Big help.

So my mom decided we should go to Sunday school so we would stop asking her the questions and have a qualified church person to pester with such details. Yeah, well try finding either of those houses of worship nearby. She ended up sending us to a little Lutheran church in the neighborhood that our neighbors went to.

One of our neighbors wasn’t exactly a good kid. After the first day he convinced me to cut with him every Sunday to go to the playground down the block. We;d walk in the front of the building, our sisters would go into their respective classrooms and we’d walk out the back fire escape door.

The plan was perfect except for…

At the end of the year both of our sisters got a 100% attendance angel pin. We didn’t. Our mom’s called to find out why and were told that we’d only attended the first day so they assumed we’d been pulled out by them.

The jig was up. I learned zilch about religion and got grounded for about a month.

  4. quote:
Rob, didn’t you want to be “live-in” help not too long ago? Didn’t you offer butler services for anyone that was willing to take you to live with them and pay you a decent wage?

yeah i thought about that a long time ago, but i had no idea you really had to go to butler school and stuff and then be squired in or something. kinda lame. mr. belvedere just showed up at some random house in pittsburg in the middle of a snowstorm and got hired on the spot!!!
