I just read the MyHome thread. Joe the Bummer also suggests it’s shady, though he calls it a “gimmick”. And Donald directly calls *rob* shady over there, though with a [wink]. I actually think it’s an interesting concept Donald has.
stevieb, for my only political remark of the day, I would be more than happy to vote for a good 3rd party candidate if someone who wasn’t a total nutball, super rich self indulgent nutball, or lunatic fringe nutball wasn’t the only choice I had. Let me also add to that, on a national scale, not local, someone who lost out as a Dem or Repug, and decided to run as a 3rd party candidate. They aren’t different, they are just trying another way to get elected.
Politics attracts basically 2 kinds of people: ego driven, power hungry maniacs, or do-gooders who are either run over by the system, or become corrupted by it. The best I can do is hope the former are my kind of thinkers, and ignore that they are power hungry creeps, or hope the latter can be effective before they are either burned out, or turn to the Dark Side. I know that’s very cynical, but history seems to be on my side here.
