I heart Dave (if only for his Walmart comment!).
Stevieb, Kens and I probably share 99.9999999% of DNA and are probably not so distant cousins. Ashkenazi Jews went to and now come from all over the world – including places like Uzbekistan.
I get a free toy for my baby girl when I spend over $4 at the local 7-11 (i bought some milk and dog biscuits); i have a pair of boots on layaway at Conway.
“CGar!!!! I am the ONLY immigrant here who is allowed to
keep goats!”
OMG, Kens. You have to watch Hoarders with Snappy, *rob* and me. DIS-gusting! The woman last night had 3 goats, who ate through the rear wall of her house, and then started taking her clothes and things out into the yard and eating them too. Must make you miss your home in Mongolia, huh?

[Psst, stevie, I work in Legal/Compliance. We don’t get record bonuses. We add nothing to the firm’s bottom line. We spend our days telling the traders what they CAN’T do to make money for the firm. So we’re also not a very popular department.]

This statement means nothing as written. I think I know what you are trying to say, but you need to define what you mean by ‘wealth’ and what percentage of that ‘wealth’ was controlled by the 40% in the 1960’s vs the 5% today.
i want to know where wall street fat cats: Cgar, DIBS, Etson, and Biff are going to be shopping for the holidays. Man up now and tell everyone. Don’t be shy about flaunting your wealth.

You forgot to include me in that lineup, stevieb, and I really, really, really resent it…
Legion, that situationis what was developed into the economic theory called the deSoto Principles. Essentially, the ownership of land provides a basis for lending and therefore expansion of wealth to the landowner.
