No Legion, you’re citing another source that claims to rely on various census data. What source is it? Right now, for eg, the census says that a family of 5 that makes more than $26,338 TOTAL is not poor, no matter where they live geographically. The census bureau’s methodology is outmoded, and was flawed at its inception, in my opinion, because it only looks at cost of food, and nothing else, which is why other gov’t agencies use different measuring tools. But try to live here and support four others on $30,000 gross. Maybe you do have a microwave. BFD. Life would be hard, and you wouldn’t be considered poor. It just sounds like you argue that there is no such thing as poor in the US, and I can’t get past that.
Are you guys all going to have long, graying ponytails? Black leather jackets with the arms cut off and big embroidery on the back? Well forget it then- you’re wimps! CGar- do I get one too? I need it to go with the gingerbread house 🙂
