I had a great time last night, although my throat feels like I had the lead in all of the operas in the Ring Cycle, and that’s a whole lot of hollering. (Last night somebody told me I’d complain about the loudness in the place, so I don’t want to disappoint.)
Actually, I liked the Bell Ringer, it looks like a great venue, and that stretch of Gowanus is very much like west Chelsea used to be before it got too hip for words. Who knew?
It was great to meet new people, and good to reconnect with old friends, and finally talk to people I’ve met, but never had conversations with. Pete-can you forgive me for the roll-up gates? PLEASE? I think we need to go back to nametags, if only so that the newbies know who we are, I know I missed some of them, too.
I got a chess set, an actual gift that can be spoken of on a G rated forum. Thanks, whoever you were. To top it off, the cab we got on 4th Ave only charged us $10 to go to Crown Heights, what should have been at least $18-22 with most car services. How cool is that! (We tipped well, nach.)
good seeing you Arkady. Dug up my dahlia bulbs this morning…thanks for the reminder. How do you store them..this is 1st season I’ve had them
Boy, my arugala is loving this weather.
I think the geraniums are ok for awhile still…they are variagated variety that I want to save also.
I want to thank everyone for acting so normal while SC & I were there – I enjoyed our brief time & he came away thinking that it’s a fairly normal group of people! Well done!

We came off as normal, Arkady? Wow! We are better actors than I thought! Did SC enjoy himself?
Etson, I think the coat was Rob’s nod to Tiger Woods. The Cheetah.
Pete, that’s him!
Snappy, lovely to meet you too 🙂
And Slope, I’m forgetting monikers already, did we find we had an work history in common?

Great Slopefarm, and sorry about the glittery felines!
