Cobble, I had at least 15 of those chocolate cookies. They were delicious. Each one was perfectly uniform, evenly baked, light and flaky, and with just the right amount of sweetness.
About 7-8 years ago, some friends and I got in a car svc, pretty sure it was Arecibo, and the back doors were held shut by one of those stretchy cords going from one door to the other. The tension essentially held each back door shut. The driver had to release one end of it so we could enter. As we got in, he told us how to re-secure the doors so they wouldn’t fly open and then said “Whatever you do, don’t lean on the doors, especially when we round a corner!” Aaaack!
Cobble, my fave is still Black Pearl, in Bed Stuy. Their motto, which was particularly apropos in the 80’s/90’s is still “We’re not yellow, we’ll go anywhere”.
biff- I tried them out on the cat this morning. I am on my way to the emergency room now.

Who’s going to give Rob the directions?
Yes, DH, I got a douche for X-Mas!
IJ- you are the best! We read that for my mother at her funeral and I still think it is the most beautiful thing ever written.
