I’ll just note- again- as arkady said yesterday, just because someone leaves a pile of sh*t on your doorstep doesn’t mean you shouldn’t clean it up. I am not happy about Afghanistan but there are political and foreign policy realities that Obama has to address. And all the fold who cheered and yelled for going into Irag – at the expense of the Afghan effort- I would so love to hear what they’re saying now. But how short our memories are- the last 8 years were disastrous for us, now the one person with a chance of getting us back on track is making hard decisions, some which we don’t know yet if they will work or not, but its been a year. To begin cleaning up an 8 year mess.

Also – its traditional to not have the White House staff testify to Congress- Bush refused all the time and on matters much more important than sleazy gatecrashers.
