  1. This Thanksgiving I cooked in honor of Gourmet Magazine, which ceased publication with the November issue.

    We had been subscribers on and off for many years, and in fact discovered and visited a couple of places thru the magazine, Lake Louise in the Canadian Rockies being just one of them.

    All the dishes we made came from recipes in the last issue.

    All were good except pecan pie with orange zest. Sometimes there really is only one right way to make something.

  2. Etson, sorry to hear that you didn’t eat until 7:30pm. We were able to run on a tight schedule and were able to sit down to start at 10 to 5pm last night. We were all done well before 7pm and had time to clean the dishes even. Got lucky this thanksgiving.
