Herk, Let’s just say, I’ve gone Pro in the grumpy dept. I once made a partner, yes a partner, in a firm I worked for CRY. Yes, she cried. I told her she couldn’t have something she inexplicably insisted she have, despite all hard evidence to the contrary. And when I, for the 3rd time, told her that it was NOT POSSIBLE…she burst into tears and ran away.

denton, Arkady…I had one go very fast on my exterior light that works on a dusk setting. I replaced it and noticed the other day that the new one is “sputtering”
What are we going to use for the holiday window canlestick bayonnet bulbs and the bulbs in my chandeliers that are “candle shaped.”
There’s too much government here. I assume there will be a black market for these bulbs someday.
There’s a lot of bulb hoarding going on in Australia and a few EU countries because of this.
I have CFLs in my apartment. Hate them. Even my black ass looks yellow under them 🙁 I tried putting them in the light sockets in my closets and they promptly exploded. WTF?

Well, you remember my latest rush him to the vet because he is at death’s door and looks like a skeleton? Once again he has amazingly pulled back from the brink, gained weight and is happily stuffing his face. Knowing I still love him enough to spend the bucks to take him to the vet. This is about the 3rd or 4th time the vets and I were sure it was the end. Evil, thy name is Moose.
CGar, Fanny Farmer has a basic model that you can tinker with a bit. Bread crumbs, fresh grated parmaesan, butter, parsely, onion, egg, S & P. You can make them tonight and just bake the next day – 15-20 minutes. Lemme know if you want the recipe, I’ll scan and PDF it to you.
rob did a cut and paste, mainly, it’s that guvments will be banning incandescent bulbs in favor of CFLs (which use less energy but come with other problems).
Arkady, they allegedly have some CFLs that work with dimmers. I bought a few for $14 ea, they didn’t last a week.
