pretty good success rate for me. current residence is one of them. in my recent attempts to buy bigger place, I entered into 4 contracts with it but all fell thru – 1 was coop bd rejection, 1 was coop bldg couldn’t be financed by any bank, 2 via inspection reveal issues where seller wouldn’t agree on further discounts
CGar,
too bad about your experience. I wonder how many times scams like that are successful in bidding up the price. I once looked at an old victorian with great space which had sat on the market for over a year due to major renovation requirements. The broker, who was well known in the area, started off by letting me know that the seller had recently “turned down” an offer at about 50K below the asking price. Basically setting a ground floor for herself or the seller. Somehow, I didn’t believe her. Either way, the market was on it’s way downward by then and I wasn’t about to catch that falling knife. It still sits there empty to this day.
Oh, this ought to be good.

I’m not a size queen, ET. I’m just sayin good things have been known to come in small packages, by which I mean small packages, not small packages.

“Those folks are everywhere & can be really annoying.”
Sorry I’m late. Are we talking about PLUSAs again?

I agree, ENY. Those folks are everywhere & can be really annoying. Seem to remember the Post doing some sort of expose’ on them a few years ago.
should be …used in Middle Earth.
“ET, by “hobbit sized” you’re implying what about me exactly? Not for nothing, but I’ve been told that . . . never mind . . . too early to go THERE.”
What have you been told?
It’s not the size of the hobbit, but how it’s used Middle Earth.
c-gar, sorry about that. What sucks is that since real estate is local we end up living next to these charmers. At least DC is 3 hours away.
