re: train problems. is the F really bad? a few of my coworkers do complain about it.. i always found it’s just better to leave as early as possible in the morning.. def. after the kids are on the train going to school but before the 9-5’ers are going to work.
also train crowding wouldnt be as bad as it is if people people allowed people to sit on their laps.

Gemini, I feel your pain. If I hear “Pop Champagne” one more time I will lose it! My favorite subway loud music moment came when I was riding the N train to Union Square about one month ago. One expects to hear Young Jeezy or Lil’ Wayne being blared through a sidekick by today’s youth. On this particular day, though, a boy who looked to be about 16-17 years old was blaring music from his phone. The song? Rick Astley’s “Never Gonna Give You Up.” Ha! What was even better was that instead of complaining or quietly sneering about it, most train riders around him were smiling and singing along. A true NYC kumbaya moment!

and why for every 1 F train that pulls into the platform I am waiting on there’s 2-3 F trains pulling in on the platform going the opposite direction?

and why do people think it’s OK to listen to their ipods so loud!
Oh and what’s worse are the kids(teens) who listen to music without headphones through their sidekicks and what not
