  1. So hard to find her way
Now that she’s all on her own.
She missed rent just the other day,
To the curb, she got thrown!
Bounced her check to the Evil Landlord,
    Sometime she’s overcome thinking about
Posting online with her brown cats
    Behind the Armory
And you, my Crown Heights girl,
    You, my Crown Heights girl.

  2. M4L- Yeah, but then I have to do a road trip in a car with a bunch of guys all lusting for titties.

I’d rather fly out to Vegas, chill in a luxury suite, hang by the pool and get tan, eat at a bunch of yummy foodie spots, gamble a bit, drink (a lot) and get craploads of spa treatments to wash all the gluttony and sins away.

That’s my idea of a fabulous long weekend.

  3. Well, tybur, that could lead to an interesting, but highly rancorous discussion of what a person’s worth is in today’s society. The people who get to be the arbiters in this discussion are usually those somewhere on top. Is that fair? Is education “worth” more than experience? Is one’s usefulness to society a higher calling than the sheer abiltity to command a make money? Why shouldn’t a craftsman, who trains, then apprentices for years before going from journeyman to craftsman, be paid as highly as someone who goes through his family or school connections, and lands a high paying job for which he has no experience, or even aptitude? Who is meeting the needs of the greater community more, a seamstress or a CEO? Why do insurance companies have tables that can pin down your worth, so that in a lawsuit claiming damages, they can claim a 64 year old teacher is “worth” less than a 24 year old graduate student? Is “worth” only in dollars, or jobs or in total life experience?

Sorry, pretty heavy for a Friday.
