Finally the baseball world is back on its axis – Yankees=World Champions!!!!
Maybe I’m nuts but it seems like the World went crazy after the Red Sox started winning championships – Now that the baseball gods have realigned things in the correct order, I have much greater hope for our city and nation!
Bloomberg and the Yankees in a single week. Unbelievable, now if only the Arena construction would start too, I might have a spontaneous orgasm!
Kensingtonian — At John’s on Cortelyou Road. They are very inconsistent about their bagels. Sometimes they are the absolute best bagels (25%) of the time. Other times they are pretty much OK (45%). And too often (30%) they are the consistency of a strange roll with a hole in the middle….
I’m excited about the branch of Bagels by the Park “opening soon” — but I don’t know if they’ll call me Papi. Time will tell.
Hey six, glad all is well. I hear our alma mater won in football last weekend. Have to admit, I only went to 2 games when I was in college, and never any since. My classmates who were jocks all ended up in secret societies, and are all making mondo bucks now. Connections rule.
Very very busy here in DC – but it’s much more enjoyable than teaching high school…lots of free conferences, receptions, dinners (the Saudi defense attache is hosting us tonight)…usually 7 hours of reading/work per day. I’ll get up to those places on Cortelyou at the end of the semester, Kens! Hope all you PLUSAs are doing well.

Don’t hate the player, sixyearsandcounting, hate the game! Besides, the Phillies lineup isn’t exactly filled with a a bunch of bargain players!

Bxgrl- Please ignore the invite I sent to you, and all the other Brownstoners, to the birthing party we’re throwing in March.

Good to hear you’re doing well.
Have you seen Obama while you’ve been down there? I hear he lives around those parts…
