Resent Al Gore all you want for making money (G-d forbid, he should make money- but isn’t that exactly what any of us want to do?), there are reputable scientists who can back up global warming with actual science. They track trends, air quality, polar ice, animal populations ,etc. They depend on scientific method. There is a methodology to science- people who want intelligent design taught forget this major fact. They also forget that science does not demand a belief in G-d (or not).

Because forcing religion on the populace- whether by demanding creationism be taught alongside Darwin, or telling women when, if and how they can have sex or children, or refusing equal rights to gays- is advocating government intrusion where is it not warranted nor wanted.
