“I just wonder if they have the amenities I like… (like good cafes/bakeries, markets)”
Two good friends of mine lives in Jackson Heights and LOVES it! So much so that they own a place and are looking to upgrade. They are all about space for the money.
I had them out to Park Slope for a day of shopping/brunch about a month ago and they couldn’t BELIEVE the amount of stores/restaurants/bars, etc we had. I mean, they had been to PS before, but didn’t really “get” the scope of what we have to offer.
They said…oh, you should come out to Jackson Heights one day for brunch too “but I’ll be cooking because there’s nothing in Jackson Heights”
Delepp – so true! – I actually was born in Jackson Hts and lived there until I was 6, parents got divorced and dad moved back to JH, so I spent every weekend there until I was about 16.
Well, most of the gorgeous coops are on 34th and 35th avenues which is about 2-3 avenues away from the 7 or the E,V,F
I just wonder if they have the amenities I like… (like good cafes/bakeries, markets)
g10, the coops in jackson heights are quite nice and many have their historical details intact. The rub is the nicest places are a decent bus ride to a subway station.
I thought someone’s suggestion yesterday that Stevieb might be What was a likely one.
oh darn it, 11217.
I would have loved to have read *Rob*’s post the morning after.
“omg i met the raddest guy last night he brought me flowers and a 40. i think im gay again….”

“I agree that Stevieb came outta no where, but his first attack was actually against me in some weird sarcastic ish on the OT last week”

“Wow Dave, generalize much?”
Well he does think all Asian men are hot…
“hhhmmmm…..Is this a potential date?”
Not unless you’d like to see Park Slope add 2 murders to it’s crime stats for 2009. 🙂
“If you really want to smoke up that bad, I’m happy to have you over.
And I promise I won’t try to grope you.”
