  1. “You ever been to Philadelphia, ENY???”

Several times. The last time I stayed overnight was in 2004. Also, my son attended college in western Penn., so I traveled through Philly several times. I’ve also seen a few Rocky movies.

“Is there a Yankee/Philly game tonight?”

    Yep!

  2. Dave: I’ve been to what was Friends on Atlantic years ago, but I think it closed? I’m guessing you are speaking of a different Friends Tavern…

Gem: They really and truly love Jackson Heights and don’t plan to leave, but yes…they said they are disappointed with the offerings in the categories you mention…nice markets, cafes, bakeries, etc. Good for Indian and Columbian, but how often does one really want to eat Indian…?

    I guess if you have a car, it’s all a non-issue though! 🙂

  3. Speaking of restaurants…

I had to drive up to manchester, NH on Monday. My hosts took me out to eat at “Fratello’s Italian Ristorante”. Classic “Eye-talian”. One of the specials was, and I kid you not, broiled haddock topped with “seasoned Ritz breadcrumbs”

    Seasoned…..Ritz…..Cracker….Breadcrumbs.

  4. I thought someone’s suggestion yesterday that Stevieb might be What was a likely one.
