“The UK has something called “National Insurance” that employees and employers have to pay into as a percentage of salary (and deducted at source but that’s a discussion for another day). This covers the cost of providing the National Health Service and also state pensions.”
Chicken, ain’t much different from here. Employer and employee both pay around 6% for social security (retirement). Also deducted at source for employee, if employer doesn’t withhold and pay he gets locked up pretty quick. And there’s another chuck for medicare, which is insurance for the elderly.
I was serious about checking her butt. It could be she got a little runny from the change in food & hasn’t done as good a job as normal cleaning up. You can do it for her w/ moist towels & her digestion will settle down fairly quickly. Seven isn’t all that old for turning geriatric – even 11 isn’t as a rule.

Arkady i’m serious about the smelly cat– i was thinking maybe now that’s she’s 7, she doesn’t clean herslef as well? she’s a long-hair black/white domestic
I live alone too – aside from 2 small, furry dependents. Whole reason I bought a house was so I didn’t have to deal w/ people – turns out I’m not “co-operative”.
