  1. you see how life screws you over. most of the people who were dumb in high school seem the most successful now and the nerds back then are now all dead and/or screw ups!

    Pretty poignant commentary brother.

  2. “Frankly, it wasn’t much better than Olive Garden.”

    OMG!! It’s Benson!! You know, the guy in the commercial that takes his Italian cousin to the Olive Garden for “authentic Italian”!!

  3. Joe;

    I thought of you this weekend. My wife and I went to Marco Polo on Sunday. After seeing your post a couple of weeks ago, I figured I would give it a try. I haven’t been there in years.

    Sorry to say, but that place still leaves me scratching my head. It strikes me that the place can’t decide what it wants to be: old-school, red-sauce Italian or a fine dining establishment. Even the decor is exactly like that. I had their prix-fixe meal and went with the broiled sole in lemon-wine sauce. Frankly, it wasn’t much better than Olive Garden.

    Perhaps their specials are good. Next time I good (will probably be a LONG time) I’ll ask you for advice.

  4. pathetic losers pathetic losers bla bla bla, nothing to contribute pathetic losers. DIBS sucks. bla bla bla

    ALL TRUE.

  5. “I also like to be able to access friends pages to look at their photos, and it’s a nice way to keep up with those friends you don’t see or speak with regularly (like out of town friends).”

    That is one nice aspect. I can see family photos, and see how the cousins and long distance friends are doing.

  6. I have a veritable diaspora of Irish cousins who have moved to Italy, Australia, San Francisco – all over – & Facebook is good for finding out about family. I’ve also tried to locate a heart-throb of mine from kindergarten ever since the internet started & am now doing it on FB – so far to no avail.

  7. facebook is okay. if it wasnt for it my sister and brother would never have found me! i guess that’s cool. i dont like some of the people im sorta forced to be friends with online and occassionally i find myself drunk facebooking and saying inappropriate things lol but oh well.

    it is weird seeing people so many years later. almost every chick i went to high school with it got super fat and squeezed out like 2 kids each and even most of the men turned out super ugly. for the most part everyone you knew was gay back then is gay now and eh, you see how life screws you over. most of the people who were dumb in high school seem the most successful now and the nerds back then are now all dead and/or screw ups!
