Kens, it’s all in the eye contact. I’ve left bars with guys without ever having said a word. That was years ago. I haven’t used bars to pick up guys in about 4-5 years.
Does anyone know the path out of Time Warner hell?
When I moved, some idiot at Time Warner processed my cable/internet “move” as a “close old account/open completely new account” rather than “transfer old account”.
Now, my e-mail address keeps getting disabled because somewhere in the hideous bowels of their databases they have flagged the account as “closed”.
I’ve had the account reactivated 4 times so far, and it gets deactivated within 3 hours.
“Tens of thousands of apartments will likely go back under RS,”? I can’t imagine that.. more like a couple hundred.
Impact is on price/cost of buying RS apt buildings. They were becoming inflated by some thinking they could easily get the tenants out.
Biff, I once had a bet with a friend that it doesn’t matter what the line is, it’s the delivery and posture cause something like 70 percent of communication is non-verbal anyways. My friend is really into psychology and very good at picking up girls/women. I was convinced that he wouldn’t be able to pick up a girl with the stupidest lines and we bet 20 bucks on it and I sent him off and anytime I would give him the most pathetic lines, he would come back with a number. Girls would totally crack up at it. If he say that he was failing, he would just pull one of those “my friend bet me $20 that I wouldn’t get your number with this stupid line so how bout you give me your number and we can use that $20 to buy us some drinks”. Yeah, I obviously lost.
Chicken – I will be.
Long (active) life expectancies have pushed the whole children-having age back 10 years. I’ll push em out at 60, work another five years, and then I’ll be off travelling and spending their inheritance.

I hate them.

Never. My line of choice is “I’m not with DIBS”.

I actually think you would do much better if your line of thoice was “I AM with DIBS”.
“the banks who gave the loan on the stuy town deal is the real idiots – dumber than tishman. sometimes, one pays price for being that stupid.”
M4L;
Exactly right. Irrational exuberance spares no segment of society.

The Japanese aren’t the only ones w/ odd habits – the word frottage is from the French, for heaven’s sake!
