CarGar- Dr. Maddox was my vet for years and i miss him terribly. he was very kind to me on more than one occasion, and great with my animals. I’ve been to Dr. LoBasso once so far but it will take me time to get used to him. The cats, of course, hate him just as much s they hated Dr. Maddox 🙂
Ive used the recirculating fountains. They work great once the cat gets used to it.
I only have one cat that does this and now that I’m home she just runs into the bathroom and jumps on the sink when she wants a drink. So I go turn it on for a moment. I’d never leave it running, that’s too wasteful.
I know 2 cat owners who do that but they own their houses & water bills too & it’s a very small trickle. They’ve both tried the recirculating fountains to no avail but the fountains do work for some.
“We had several buildings with cat people who instisted that their cats would only drink from a running faucet so they left their faucets running 24 hours a day. We calculated this cost the owner $200 per month in water and sewer charges, and that was cold water.”
