  1. be carefull with stainless backsplash mixed with tile.
They’re diffrent thicknesses and if not done right, the planes will vary and not be flush, unless that’s the look you want.
I all about the details, things like that would irk me to no end.

Milky white glass…hhmmmm. If there’s alot of it, it might not look right. Maybe mix it with clear and opaque. some cab’s clear.

    fyi….Red is hot!

  2. We need to decide on type of glass, but not colored. Probably go for something opaque but not textured. Perhaps have the backsplash be stainless as well with a splash of colored tile for fun and interest.

  3. here’s the link to the kitchen I was referring to, it’s a nice article:

It’s an all white kitchen, actually the entire apartment is all white. From the plan that kichen counter looks like its the longest piece of white marble slab in the universe.

    Miss Chiif:
    Stainless counters are hot!

clear glass or colored glass or textured glass for uppers?
    Backsplash?

  4. How do you know I like Comedy?

No, I havent’ seen it. I think yesterday was the second in the series. I’m never home to watch TV. I’ve hinted to hubby that the series will make a great Valentine’s Day present.

btw – I already gave the link to the show a while back, when the series on India was being discussed. You’re late again.

  5. I did like that kitchen. Light and bright. Would be good since I want my kitchen on the ground floor in the back. I think WE (that’s the royal WE) are going to go for a light wood for cabinets and thinking of stainless steel for counter tops. WE need to have a lot of reflective surfaces to maximize the light in that area. Trying to mix something modern with a more Arts & Crafts feel. WE think that the A&C style can allow us to mix natural and man made in a way that our Eastlake style house would not if we were to stick with something more victorian. I also want glass-doored upper cabinets, even if it means I ned to keep things clean and organized.

  6. BRG, chillax, who loves ya baby?!

Not to worry snark…don’t be jealous of bubble, you’ll always be close to my heart.
