cw, if that two-family has a two-bed (or bigger rental) and is in decent conditions with original details, we are probably overpaying for our heap. Can’t wait to hear what it looks like.
sam, I love old movies. My grandmother used to work as an office manager in Manhattan for an agent to some stars. She knew Marlene Dietrich and said she was one of the meanest women she ever met. It really burst my bubble (no pun intended). She is such a powerful presence on the screen. For the record, my grandmother said Burt Bacharach (sp?) and Angie Dickenson were the sweetest stars she ever met.
sam, I really hope to meet you at the next ‘Stoner event. It will be close to or in our neighborhood. I’m signing off now. Have a wonderful evening.
Biff, I used to have a very sweet dog named brandy, but I was sort of spinning from the classic film “witness for the prosecution” with the gorgeous Marlene Dietrich playing dual roles and the marvelous Charles Laughton playing the eminent barrister with brandy in his thermos. a great old movie.
In an extremely rare evening visit to the blog, Biff Champion appears to see how the new mystery is unfolding. I am not misterbubble. However, I cannot say the same for sam, my new key suspect. Just take the 10:10 PM post for example. The prose is structured very much like the popular Dr. Seuss book Green Eggs and Ham. Why is this significant? Of course!! Look at the admission at the end of the prose below. The Walrus was Paul and misterbubble is Sam-I-am!
I would not, could not, in a box.
I could not, would not, with a fox.
I will not eat them with a mouse.
I will not eat them in a house.
I will not eat them here or there.
I will not eat them anywhere.
I do not eat green eggs and ham.
I do not like them, Sam-I-am.

From these clues, it sure seems to me that misterbubble=DIBS
Folks;
I noticed that MrBubble made no response to my post above.
I still say he is DIBS. All of his statements above point to DIBS.

“I rest my case and I will have my brandy now.”
Who is Brandy? Are we now going to have to guess her identity?
