So I asked Miss Moneypenny for a new mouse pad as my old was was getting all ratty and she brought me one of those new high-tech ones that doesn’t move around on one’s desk and has the huge gel-filled bubble thing to rest one’s wrist on so one doesn’t get carpel tunnel. How the hell does one get used to this thing? It feels bizarre.
“ENY, you know the Yankees treated him like sh*t. ”
Yeah. They paid him $87 million over six years in his last contract. Then they wouldn’t re-sign him at the end of the contract, asking him to work out if he wanted to stay on the team. He didn’t want to do that, and stayed home. It didn’t stop them from having him come back to the stadium for special events and the Yanks even did a “Centerstage” interview and a special on Bernie’s music and life after baseball. He seemed to be pretty happy throughout. Yeah they really treated him like sh*t. Too bad the Yanks didn’t treat Bernie as well as the Red Sox treated Nomar Garciaparra. Or the Mets treated Tom Seaver.
bx, see rob @ 11:30 if MM resorts to self help during your rent strike. There’s even cats and tents.

Rob – Read your 9:39 & say that again about drama…
FYI – Just heard on the radio that the #3 trains are screwed up from 42nd St to Nevins – car derailed at Park Pl.
– i am the most drama free person in the tri-state area, brokejokster!!
Understatement of the Year!!
And not the part about me being ‘broke’jokster.
Funny m4l
“well fed players make a huge diff”
Doesn’t seem to be working for Eddie Curry. Poor guy, he’s been through a lot lately, though.
Seriously, I have to respect a team’s ability to get and follow sound legal advice in order to have respect for them on the court.
