  1. Wasder, shoot, I forgot to talk to you about the attorney I gave you. I had another one in mind who represented our co-op but he is on the expensive side. Let me know if you still need references and I think I can dig up his phone number.

  2. “CG: i don’t usually lurk on the OT, because the one other time I opened it, it felt like arriving really late to a party and discovering everyone had dropped acid hours ago”

ROFL! We’ve all been there. I’d been on Brownstoner since ’06, but had no clue what the OT was when it first appeared. I must have popped in a 1/2 dozen times before finally posting. Every time I opened the OT, the first post was always the FGVOTD by Biff Champion. And I was like, WTF? The more I read, the more confused I was. And God help you if you started in the middle of the thread, or with one of *rob’s* posts.

  3. “How’s your place coming along? I saw your Forum post with the pic you posted of your place when you first moved in, by the way.”

My place is coming along great, except for the little snafu with DOB that I am embroiled in…fuckers! I love living and working here. The only weird thing is not leaving a one block square area for days at a time. I should post some new photos as the house has definitely come a long way since that first post.

CarGar–the author I was recommending…Bill (perhaps listed as William) Frassanito. The foremost expert on Gettysburg battlefield photography and author of the seminal work “Gettysburg: A Journey in Time”..and before any of you wise-asses get to work on me, yes I said seminal (no homo).

  4. Biff, I am with you.

M4L, I see what you’re saying but it’s all relative. Depends on how much you have to spend and what your priorities are. I LOVE Brooklyn and love living in Kensington but when I saw studios in Ft. Lee that pretty much provided the same commute to work and for the same money, I would have same square footage, huge balcony, higher floor, nicer views, amenities (pool, gym, tennis courts, doorman) all in the building. If my family lived in Ft. Lee and I had friends there, I would definitely move to there, eventhough my heart would always stay in Brooklyn.
