I was at a legal conference at lunch, quite intimate, everyone hush while the Judge was speaking. Trying to be a gentlemen I offered the cream jug to the lady on my left for her coffee first, expecting her to give me the next turn. However, after she poured hers off it went to the left, never to return. I raised my eyebrows at various attendees and aimed my eyes at my coffee cup and back to the creamer, but no one got the gist and it was too quiet to speak. Terrible business.
