  1. Abortion is an issue where there are strong views but very little debate is possible. Either you believe the unborn child is a life, or you don’t. I do.
All of the other arguments on the issue flow from that a priori belief.

  2. THL- I wondered at how they could play one against the other. They said they consulted with the Church elders who told them not to abort. Yet, did they consult them to see if was ok to have fertility treatments? I wanted to post the link but can’t find it now.

  3. “Since when are people banned from commerce and enterprise because of their political/social views?”

As Dave said, Limbaugh wasn’t banned from the NFL, he was dropped from a group of investors looking to buy an NFL franchise. He was dropped because that group (late in the game) realized that NFL team owners and players, as well as the player’s association and the NFL commissioner, believe Limbaugh’s divisive comments are in direct opposition to what the league represents – inclusiveness and a chance for people to rise on their own merits. and ability . I’ll say it again – Limbaugh’s history of race-baiting commentary pretty much guaranteed he’d never be allowed to participate – on an official basis – in a league where 65% of the key talent is black. He’s free to WATCH an NFL game, tho.
