Hola asshats! It’s a great day to get out and enjoy some fresh fall air. I am alive! I was just feeling good and decided to roam around Bensonhurst and Bayridge today. Good day for it. What’d I miss?
Moving past the issue of Obama’s win, I really think a law should be passed that states that henceforth no sitting American president shall accept a Nobel Peace Prize or other such awards. He is in the middle of making a decision about what to do regarding Afghanistan, and this award is not helpful in that regard. No matter what he does, folks will wonder if his decision-making process was affected by the award.
Legion- you may be right but honestly considering the vitriol that has been hurled at Obama, I seriously don’t think people like Rush Limbaugh care about foreign interests meddling. He just wants ammo to attack Obama. In fact, these days its obvious that the GOP cares nothing about the public, the country or anything but their own party interests. At least that’s what the most vocal, right wing element would have us believe.
Legion,
Don’t know about the rest of Europe but certainly in the UK the reaction to Obama’s Peace Prize was generally one of bemusement. Even though he is popular there, people seem to think it odd.
This is the very lukewarm editorial from the left-wing Guardian newspaper: http://tiny.cc/rdwUp
Conservatives in the lead but margin is slipping. You better be short dollars and long pounds when they do win.

etson,
what have you been hearing in the UK about a conservative party victory there in the next elections?
I think Legion’s main point is spot on.
