From where you are (18th Ave on F), it would probably take 1.5 hours by train to White Plains. By car, a little over an hour.
Purchase is right near White Plains, but I believe it is only accessible by car. I would add 15 minutes to the number above.
One of the reasons I moved to PS was to cut my commute, as White Plains is a pain the rear.
