“DH, did you get my email (seriously) with the link to the Park Slope rental? If not, let me know, and I’ll resend it. May not be of interest, but thought I’d send it to you just in case.”
Yeah I did – did you get my response? Thanks for lookin out for me!!
Did anyone watch that experiment I think NBC (or ABC?) did last summer? They put together teens who were dating in a small subdivision and had them take care of infants, toddlers, etc. on up to teens. Those kids were like “Hells to the no!” after it was over and every single couple broke up.
Hello again folks. Cat foiled my nap (dammit!) so I’m up and about again.
Too many girls are trying to get pregnant or just don’t give a rat’s patootie about ending up that way. I say we bring back chastity belts for the horny little hos.
East New York – is it my imagination or does the van in the back of the picture say “medicare” on the side? (I could just tear my eyes away from her for about 2 secs)

Stigmatizing pregnant girls was awful but you’re right about how different it was then. I think we send far too many conflicting signals- we’ll teach abstinence but not birth control. We’ll say it’s not good to have a child before marriage, but then give girls no options, and talk about how precious all life is. Worse- we tie welfare money to the number of children and some girls in their immaturity see more money as a reward. Plus, when you look at all the commercials, and stories on tv shows, it practically makes motherhood equal to sainthood. All the babies are cute and well-behaved. Young girls can’t separate the reality from the fiction. How can they even figure it out?

“No, you went to the right school. You just went too soon. You should have attended after the Clinton/Lewinsky scandal. That changed everything.”
I did

THL- ahhh yes. My bad. 🙂
I don’t blame Bristol- but I think her mother is an incredible hypocrite, pushing abstinence only education programs.
