That’s the spirit cobblehiller.
I promise snarky, to use it for good only. See? I’ve given cobllehiller and BRG reason to hope. I mean, I know I can only aspire to be as good s you, but everytime I proudly put on my tiara (which is larger than dave’s) my faith will be reaffirmed.
DIBS- not quite. The Sainted tenant is keeping the roof over the EVLL’s head (yes- at the moment I am standing on a ladder, both arms holding up the roof.) Notice how the EVLL immediately jumps in to abuse me. After a long week of flooding and cleaning and going without heat and water and being chained in the dungeon, I think the EVLL should be relieved to get the rent at all :-). (snap snap snap snap)
Ok- I’m willing to admit perhaps I did get a choice of whole wheat over rye yesterday in honor of the inauguration, but c’mon!
You give me such hope snark! I can do this! I can pick myself up and dust myself off and reach for the stars! I can climb every mountain! Sail every sea! [How’m I doing? more?…]
I bow in your general direction oh most exalted leader, Skittles are in a taxi on there way over. Would you like a can of sprite with that? I have Sprite, of course I could send a bottle of nice french red wine I have here, do you like wine? is that too personal, because you know you don’t have to share personal info with lowly me if you don’t want to. I mean you already know that, of course, duh!
[Dammit, I should have put the skittles in a little silver bowl, I knew I forgot something!]
What, you are way off base about people buying brownstones to be near the “Brooklyn” Nets. Look through the forum archives on this site. Back when AY had some apparent momentum, lots of people posted queries about whether being near all that construction would hurt values (seller) or be too noisy/disruptive/hard to park or get around (buyers). People had various opinions but I don’t recall anyone saying “Yes, buy close to AY because your values will go up” and I certainly have seen no evidence of someone on this site who reached that conclusion and bought a brownstone as a result.
There are certainly many on this site who are less fatally and gleefully pessimistic than you about the future of the Brooklyn RE market and the financial markets, but you make a mistake in assuming that your detractors are all monolithic and enthusiastic boosters of all things market-related. You will find that those with whom you spar on this site will disagree with each other about whether AY is a good or bad thing and whether it, or something like it, will get built. I know that degree of nuance might conflict with your worldview, but it is true. If you painted with a finer brush, your efforts to instigate discussion might gain more substantive traction.

Some boys kiss me, some boys hug me
I think theyre o.k.
If they dont give me proper credit
I just walk away
They can beg and they can plead
But they cant see the light, thats right
cause the boy with the cold hard cash
Is always mister right, cause we are
Living in a material world
And I am a material girl
You know that we are living in a material world
And I am a material girl
Some boys romance, some boys slow dance
Thats all right with me
If they cant raise my interest then i
Have to let them be
Some boys try and some boys lie but
I dont let them play
Only boys who save their pennies
Make my rainy day, cause they are
Living in a material world [material]
Living in a material world
Boys may come and boys may go
And thats all right you see
Experience has made me rich
And now theyre after me, cause everybodys
A material, a material, a material, a material world
Living in a material world [material]
Living in a material world
“snark has essentially said that there is no way on god’s green earth that I’m getting a SOTD.”
Not true. Your post at 3:39 shows you have the right stuff.
Live the dream. Keep reaching for that rainbow. Taste the rainbow. Buy me Skittles.
SnarkSlope is dead. Long live SnarkSlope.
“I’m wearing mine now. Ooooooh, shiny!”
Cruel, cruel world.
All you Brooklyn hoi polloi and your fake tiaras!!!
I spit on you.
Now that’s tiara….

Yes, bxgirl, I see I chose my first SOTD recipient well.
Remember, use your power for good, never for evil (wink wink)!
