I know you think you’re so cool for not caring about anything and that people here have made you out to be a hero because of it,
what are you talking about? you repeatedly say stuff like that. no one makes me out to be anything yet you seem to harp on that a lot. and not caring about things that are beyond ones control is a sign of universal cosmic intelligence. sorry but no ones going to save the planet by mincing around whole foods with a hideous bacteria infested white tote bag over their shouldars.
and this
“Not caring about anything is the first sign of depression.”absolute ridiculousness. im not DEpressed, im OPPRESSED!
But if he admittedly doesn’t care about the world or this country, you really don’t have very high ideals in who you look for as high quality people. No offense.
And if he DOES in fact care but likes to insert himself in these conversations to say absurd things for attention, then I find that just plain immature.
hey, that’s ok that you don’t agree with any of the points I have put forth here today.
you brought the debate on by implying there was no legitimate opposing view.
As I have stated, there most certainly is.
Benson is right about the fact that, if there is indeed warming going on what can feasably be done and to what benefit?
I read something about how the human species actually flourished during a great period of meltdown about 10-20,000 years ago. when the Sahara was an oasis. just saying. there is much to this issue besides:
Bush bad, Republicans bad.
benson, I’ve noticed more female engineers here lately, in fact I’m friends with one who has her structural license and is going for her arch license. If she achieves that she will be one of the few women in NYS with both a PE and a arch license (forget the suffix for that) and she may be the only Hispanic.
I’ve also noticed a lot of engineering types from China. I’ve seen them at trade shows and they’re definitely promoting and discussing products, they’re not models.

*rob*
Hysterical is great, CarrolGardened.

“as a matter of fact, yes. ive learned that im more republican in ideals than democrat. i had no idea before what either of the parties stood for lol”
Now that you’ve become straight, it’s perfectly understandable.

“11217, i’m not sur ehe doesn’t care”
Rob said: “as id have to care about the country and the world one way or another, and since i dont, it’s totally moot.”
Dave, it would appear from this that he doesn’t care about much of anything.
benson, I’ve noticed more female engineers here lately, in fact I’m friends with one who has her structural license and is going for her arch license. “And this is the person you all defend to the grave.
Don’t.
Get.
It.”
11217, while it was nice to agree with you on Sidney Place the other day, I have to say that A) *rob* is a really nice guy and 2) he’s hysterical.
11217, i’m not sur ehe doesn’t care, it’s just not high on his scale of priorities. At the top of his list might be Hannah Montana and 40s.
My list would be topped by other things but climate change is also not very high up for me either.
And, it’s clear from this discussion that no one is arguing from a standpoint of factual confirmed information.
Randi, good job with the post count comparison. how about some summary recap of topics discussed there vs here?
