I hear you, although I also agree with DIBS about rob, he’s an ok guy who lets a little too much id hang out online.
Hanging out on the OT has come to feel like living in a sitcom. We all seem to fall into our roles and our entrances, exits and interactions seem almost to follow a script. Like on Cheers, after Norm said something, you always knew more or less what to expect from Cliff etc. Folks are having a lot of fun, but there was more substance, even on the OT, at one time than there is now.
Your post at 4:28 is exactly my point. Rob and I are probably both around the same age I’m guessing and sometimes I’m made out to be a spoiled brat on here (which I am not at all) for working my ass off and buying a place in a neighborhood I love, and Rob is made out to be a superstar on here for hating all those things.
Of course, to each his/her own, but there does come a time when a man needs to be a man.

I think I’m just going to need to suck it up one of these days and come to a brownstoner gathering so I can clear my name. I’m actually probably not a lot like my blog persona either. I’m MUCH more laid back. Maybe that’s why Rob gets me so bad…cause he brings out a persona in me I’m not accustomed to…

DIBS – i kind of think that it doesn’t matter so much though. if people are communicating on a blog, they should be held accountable for what they say there. we all are. sometimes i wonder, why is rob consistently the only one who says things on the blog that offend, aliente or upset people but constantly gets a free pass from everyone?
i know he’s much nicer in person, i grant you that. but i truly believe that the way he is treated on this site does him more harm than good. he is a grown man. to treat him otherwise is an insult, no?
