Did I read correctly that October 15 is the date set for the award ceremonies? Is the date still under consideration or can I safely add it to my calendar? It is within a day or two of one year from the first real get together, if I recall, and it coincides with what’s initial prediction of a further and far more serious financial meltdown (although he moved the prediction back to November). Does anyone want to go on his blog and remind him that he promised to show up and go all Bobby Brown on us if he was right (I think he promised to dance to “U Can’t Touch This”). If what doesn’t show, is it a concession that he was wrong?
Also, a procedural question. I don’t mind having cobble, snappy and whomever they see fit set the award categories, but will there be voting? Will there be nominees? Is there a brownstoner academy and who is in it? And how will the ballots be submitted, counted and verified?
To break the suspense it is one of the most juvenile and idiotic jokes ever. “Fish sticks” sounds like “fish dicks,” so when you get someone to admit that they like fish sticks and they like putting them in their mouth you say “what are you a gay fish?” The entire episode is about Kanye West just not getting the joke and getting madder and madder as people keep telling him the joke. It’s super hilarious. The point isn’t the joke, it’s a half hour long Kanye West bashathon.
